Universal Genève Polerouter Jet Ref. 20355/3 (Circa 1957-1960)

The Universal Genève Polerouter Jet is an elegant and historically significant vintage wristwatch, designed by the legendary Gérald Genta. Originally crafted for Scandinavian Airline System (SAS) pilots navigating flights over the Arctic Circle, the Polerouter series is celebrated for its antimagnetic properties and exceptional timekeeping.

This reference 20355/3, produced between 1957 and 1960, stands out for its slimmer case compared to other Polerouters, enhancing its appeal as a dress watch.

Historical Significance

The Polerouter Jet reflects the ingenuity of Universal Genève during its golden era. Designed by Genta in 1954 for SAS pilots, it incorporated antimagnetic properties to combat the effects of the magnetic field encountered during polar flights. This model is slimmer than the original Polerouter, making it a refined addition to any collection.
